Appropriate Swimwear Policy
Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times to maintain a clean, safe and inviting environment for all our patrons. Clothing, other than swimwear, can create problems with water clarity, pool disinfectant and our water filtration systems.
Albany Creek Leisure Centre offers a wide variety of features ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy, including the 50m swimming pool, leisure pool, waterslide and rapid river.
50m Swimming Pool
The Albany Creek Leisure Centre's 50-metre pool offers numerous swimming options catering to swimmers of all abilities. The swimming pool has a moveable bulkhead that can create 16 x 25-metre lanes, allowing flexibility around our programs and ensuring that our members and guests have plenty of lap swimming space.
This pool begins at 1.2m at the shallow end and gradually deepens to 2m at the deep end and is heated to 27 degrees all year round.
Leisure Pool & Waterslide
The Leisure area has many attractions to keep all children entertained for hours that include the Water Slide and Rapid River.
The Rapid River is a "Circle of Fun" using water jets to create a current that the kids love! The Leisure Pool is also the perfect place for the kids to swim and play in the water.
The Mushrooms
The little junior water slide accompanied with water spouts and mushroom fountains, is a water wonderland for families with young children. (unfortunately some water features are closed at this time)
Opening Hours
The Leisure Pool is open during the school terms 9am - 1pm & 3:30pm - 5pm Monday to Friday.
The Water Slide and Rapid River operate from 10am - 4pm Saturdays and Sundays from the September School Holidays through until the Easter Holidays.
During summer school holidays the Slide & Rapid River is open every day from 10am - 4pm.
Indoor Heated Pool
The Indoor Heated Pool is designed for our Learn to Swim program, therapy, rehabilitation, exercise, relaxation and more. Entry to this area is restricted to adults and children under 3 years, unless part of a program or management approval.
The pool depth ranges from 1.2m at the shallow end to 1.4m at the deep end.
